before i used to use ed2k_hash to generate sums of my files but it can't
hash big files (several gigabytes)... with jacksum I CAN!

I wanted to thank you for creating "Jacksum".  I'm a programmer for a large retailer,
and I volunteered for the task of writing a program to transport data between a Windows
and UNIX environment using data files.  I had taken the "cksum" command in UNIX for
granted until I found out that it didn't exist in the Windows environment.  After a brief
search with "google", I came across your site, which had exactly what I was hoping for:
a free utility program that could be run in Windows to generate UNIX cksums.  I integrated
your utility into the Visual Basic script I wrote to extract the data from the Windows
server, and was happy to find that the values it came up with exactly matched the UNIX
cksum values.
The program I wrote has been running well in production for almost two weeks now,
running "jacksum" thousands of times without an issue.  And today I was rewarded for its
success; I have been promoted to the position "Programmer Analyst" (previously "Programmer").
I wanted to make sure I thanked you in some way, as I know it would have been difficult
to convince my boss to actually "pay" for a checksum utility (he's notoriously cheap, but
that's another story).  And even if I purchased such a utility, I doubt it would be no
more reliable nor accurate than Jacksum has proven itself to be.
